This earring examines the color indigo through an intimate, transient lens. The piece is inspired by the characteristic of natural indigo dye, which fades rapidly when exposed to ultraviolet lite. This physical degradation serves as a metaphor for human memory; just as a pigment loses its intensity over time, our memories of specific places inevitably fade and reshape as we move away from them. By embedding this concept into an everyday object like an earring, the work transforms the act of forgetting into a natural daily ritual for the wearer.
